EUS GmbH, Dortmund (D)
Since 1994 EUS GmbH delivers products, engineering and consulting services to customers coming from the industry, the energy industry and the energy services industry. The strength lies in the deep industry and domain expertise, combined with comprehensive knowledge of dispersed power generation and renewable energy. About 16 energy and utilities specialists at are engaged to optimize the customers power generation and related sales processes.
The core capabilities are energy-industry consultation, multi- commodity-optimization, forecasting and SCADA-technology for dispersed power generation. EUS GmbH is a company of KISTERS Group (KISTERS AG, Aachen, Germany). In the W2E project EUS GmbH is responsible to develop the Virtual Power Plant, to approve it and to support the trial operation.
Volker Bühner (1969) is branch manager of the EUS GmbH. He received his diploma degree in Electrical Engineering in 1994 and his PhD in 1998 at the University of Dortmund. He is also responsible for the product management and development of IT-solutions for the liberalized energy markets, as forecast and optimization systems. Mr. Bühner was project leader in the R&D-Project "Virtual Power Plant Unna" where one of the first still operational Virtual Power Plants was built in 2003. He is author of 20 international publications including the co- authorship of the study of the German Power Engineering Society "Smart Distribution 2020".
Stefan Malcher (1969) is a Consultant of the EUS GmbH in Dortmund. He received his diploma degree in Electrical Engineering in 1996. He was project leader is several R&D-Projects like "DINAR" and "Netz EuK" dealing with dispersed generation and automation.
Peter Silberg (1963) is a Consultant of the EUS GmbH in Dortmund. He received his diploma degree in Chemistry in 1990 and his PhD in 1994. He was involved in R&D-Projects concerning CHP, renewable energies and dispersed generation.
